A lot Recently ue aRecently Amazon rolled out a new feature that has confused some authors. If you go to your Amazon Author Central page, you may notice a banner at the top of your page.

This is an example of what my Author Central page looks like right now:

The reason that Amazon has decided to put these banners up is to save themselves time. A couple weeks ago they were having a lot of troubles chasing emails and sending emails to authors to discuss potential problems with our accounts on Kindle Direct Publishing. To reduce the amount of emails that Amazon is sending, Amazon has decided to roll out this new feature of a banner instead.

If you haven’t already set up you Author Central page it’s super important that you do so as this is now going to be the point of contact for Amazon to tell you any issues they are currently having with your KDP account.

If you don’t currently have any banners on your page then you are in good standing and have nothing to worry about. The old adage ‘no news is good news’ applies here.

Check out my video on this subject for more detail.

One day I had enough! I sold my house, quit my job, bought a Jeep and bought a camper! Now I'm set to travel North America and maybe even beyond with my BFF Bean (she's a Boston Terrier)
